A new unremovable xhelper malware is found in Android devices that have infected over 45000 Android devices. People are reporting that even big brands like AVG and Kaspersky could not detect it. And Malwarebytes labs had discovered it.
They call it Android/Trojan.Dropper.xHelper. According to Malwarebytes, the first noticeable characteristic of xHelper is the use of stolen package names. After all, the definition of a Trojan as it relates to mobile malware is pretending to be a legitimate app. XHelper uses package names starting with “com.muf”.
This trojan has mostly affected users in India, the US, and Russia. The trojan has stealth capabilities also. Thus, the xhelper Malware is one of the biggest threats and dangers to Android devices today.
People who encountered it said that it does not get deleted. After trying multiple times, still, the problem remains the same. Even after a factory reset the Malware does not get vanished. So, you can see how threatening is malware.
Also, the Malware is said to keep pushing ads to you. Even after you uninstall the app infected with it.
HOW TO IDENTIFY THE MALWARE
An icon appears on the screen or on the infected smartphone screen. That xhelper malware icon is like Android which confirms the presence of the xHelper Malware.
